Frances Earrings | Bronze + Lapis
There’s a celestial quality to Son of a Sailor’s Frances Earrings. Their gorgeous lapis lazuli gemstones are beautifully contrasted with the earrings’ gold fork dangles. These earrings were named after Frances Perkins, who was the first female cabinet secretary, serving for the entirety of President Franklin Roosevelt's presidency.
The Frances is a part of our Femina collection, which celebrates simple, modern forms and natural materials. Based on striking neutrals, intentional strokes of color punctuate the collection. Each piece is named after an influential and inspiring woman, who has made a tremendous impact on the world.
Frances Perkins was the first female cabinet secretary, serving for the entirety of President Franklin Roosevelt's presidency. This in itself is extraordinary, but even more remarkable is that she was the force behind much of the groundbreaking New Deal legislation, including worker's compensation, the minimum wage, unemployment insurance and social security.
Pendant height: 3 in.
The bronze pendant will tarnish with time and exposure to the elements. Jewelry should be removed before swimming or showering to help maintain shine. Gently polish the piece with a jewelry polishing cloth to restore its original shine.
